Our Story
Gli Amici di Pierrot is a store of authentic handcrafted Venetian masks located in the sestiere of San Polo near the Rialto Bridge in the heart of Venice.
My name is Giovanna and I started decorating and painting very young, for passion. After some time I decided to open this business thinking that people who visit this wonderful city can also buy for themselves or donate an authentically Venetian quality object: A handcrafted Venetian mask
How our masks are made
Our masks are made completely by hand, from creating the models to the decoration and refinement of the mask. Each piece is unique just like the person who will purchase it. Production is therefore NOT on a large scale, but the consequence of a creative process that requires time and patience precisely to ensure quality and attention to detail.
Sostenibility
Our masks are made using paper mache and NOT plastic. We use water-based paints and have moved toward the use of eco-friendly products, limiting the use of feathers, leathers and animal materials to the minimum.
