Description
The Pierrot Dream mask…
The name of Pierrot is a French language that derives from the Italian character of the Commedia dell’Arte, one of the first Zanni: Pedrolino, interpreted, in the famous Compagnia dei Gelosi, by Giovanni Pellesini at the end of the 16th century. Pedrolino distinguished himself from the Zannis for his honest and submissive character. Later it was also very successful in France, where it was called Pierrot. He always tries to make things right by thinking that he is the cause of all evil, to the detriment of his reputation and his pride. However, he doesn’t let himself be completely overwhelmed by feelings of guilt and resignation, but shows courage in facing situations that seem desperate. This Venetian mask is entirely hand decorated and embellished on the hat and on the teardrop with original Swarovski crystals. See other versions of the Venetian mask Pierrot.
