Description
Elegance Bautta…
The Bautta was a Venetian mask typically used in the past during the Carnival of Venice. It was a hood that covered the head up to the shoulders, was made of silk, and left only the face uncovered. Mask and Bautta were held together by the hat called “tricorno”, which was usually never removed. This disguise was so customary that it was called a habit of daily use and wearing at least the mask, had become a widespread use of everyone. See also other venetian masks in category Bautte.
